The creator of Litecoin was born and raised in Côte d’Ivoire. At the age of 13, the future crypto-enterurist immigrated to California, USA. Working since 2000 as a software developer in various companies,, in 2007 a young specialist got a job at Google. After that, in 2011, Charlie’s interest turned to one of the developers of the core of the bitcoin system, Michael Hearn, and bought a bitcoin. Then the main cryptocurrency in the world cost only $ 30.
After that, literally for several months, a talented IT specialist was considering the idea of creating a currency that would complement the bitcoin and solve some of its problems. Litecoin was created in the same year, 2011, and in 2013, Charlie left Google and took up a job at the largest currency exchange Coinbase.
In the summer of 2017, Charlie Lee left Coinbase and fully focused on developing improvements for Lightcoin.
